  • "Development of an innovative technology of the recovery of polymer material modified for the production of industrial films."

Project execution timeframe: 01 July 2018 r. - 31 December 2020 r.

Project description:

The goal of the Project is to develop, within R&D works, a technology for the recovery of polymer material from municipal and agricultural waste in order to obtain regranulate with significantly improved physical and chemical properties, intended as replacement for the original raw material in industrial films production.

The goal is to obtain products with significantly improved physical and chemical properties. The innovation of the solution consists of achieving unprecedented properties of the process line, significantly exceeding currently available substitution technologies, including:

  • Moisture content of the film flake resulting from the operation of the line: maximum 3%
  • Foreign matter content among film flakes taken from the plant: maximum 0.01%
  • Increased efficiency of the production process: throughput of 2.0 Mg/h of raw material with significant improvement of existing production standards
  • Reduction of film loss during the plastic recovery process to 15%.
  • Purification of 40 m3 of process water per hour during recirculation of agricultural waste.
  • Automation of the film sorting process using, among others, optical separators.
  • Obtaining significant improvement of physical and mechanical properties of the film manufactured from regranulate compared to films available on the market.
  • Line control system (diagnostic platform) - min. 3 access levels: operator/service/supervision.

Budget:
Project value: PLN 45,023,875.00

EU co-financing: PLN 25,843,680.23

The Project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Smart Growth Operational Programme. Project implemented as part of the National Centre for Research and Development competition: Fast Track - 1.1.1 SG OP

  • "Multilayer feed preservation film based on waste from agriculture film recycling process with low environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle."

Project execution timeframe: 1 January 2017 – 31 December 2019
Project no.: POIR.04.01.02-00-0093/16

Project description:

The goal of the Project is to develop a method for processing waste from film recycling lines used in agriculture for the production of silage and their reusing as raw materials in the production of multilayer agriculture polymer films for the preservation of feed in plastic sleeves having less negative impact on the environment throughout the entire life cycle of films. During the implementation of the Project, an innovative system for cleaning and separation of waste generated on film recycling lines and a method of processing waste by extrusion will be developed. This technology will assist in increasing the efficiency of agriculture film recycling and creating new raw materials for the production of agriculture film with assumed parameters.
